“La Vecchia Loggia", run by Mario and Jane, is a 17th-century manor house situated on the edge of the peaceful medieval village of Pontebosio in Tuscany.
The house has beautiful vaulted and frescoed ceilings, cellars dating back to 1481 and a spacious sun terrace and walled garden.
Away from traffic and noise, overlooking both fields and vineyards down towards the river Taverone and over towards the feudal Malaspina castle nestling on the nearby hills above the village of Monti – it’s definitely the ideal spot to spend a relaxing holiday in the quiet Tuscan countryside.
In the area you can discover Lunigiana and its many medieval hamlets, castles and Romanesque churches; unique marble quarries in Carrara; National Park of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines and the Regional Park of the Apuan Alps for trekking; beautiful Gulf of the Poets and Cinque Terre vineyards.
