In the heart of Tuscany, sitting amongst ancient olive groves on a hillside between Pisa, Florence and Siena lies the Borgo di Colleoli.
This medieval castle was developed over the years into an aristocratic villa and estate. As a result of renovation work to the frescos and delicate mouldings the Borgo became a country retreat during the 17th and 18th centuries.
The estate comprises the main villa and surrounding farm buildings – a hayloft, a workshop and an administrative building.
The whole Borgo was painstakingly restored in 2003 by Palummo & Pierotti Architects Associates under the guidance of the Italian Fine Arts Commission, transforming the property from a country manor into a unique holiday resort.
Our well appointed guest apartments are situated in the buildings of the former farm. Each apartment has its own unique dimensions and furnishings, and contributes to the Borgo’s typical Tuscan charm.
The Borgo di Colleoli is the perfect venue for local wine tasting, exploring the region’s rich history, and discovering the masters of Tuscan Mannerism.
Our wine bar offers breakfast, snacks and aperitifs throughout the day. The restaurant, ‘I Secoli’ serves a sophisticated variety of traditional Tuscan recipes.
Whether you prefer to relax among the ancient olive groves or take a dip in one of our scenic pools, you will be assured of a memorable stay.
